Srikanth, directed by Tushar Hiranandani, tells the story with honesty and takes a refreshing approach to disability representation. Rajkummar Rao's portrayal of Srikanth Bolla isn't reliant on exaggerated or harmful stereotypes, and this honesty and effort is enough to make the film stand out in a crowd.

The film does make attempts at being more than it can be. There is a commentary on patriarchy, on misogyny, on cancel culture even. But all of them, except maybe the former, lack any nuance. It's all monologues followed by angry looks and while it does get the point home, the point in itself is shallow.
Animal

Animal feels like Vanga's effort to look at the criticism leveled at Kabir Singh and say, 'This is just the beginning'. Animal glorifies Ranvijay for his behaviour. Not once does anyone question the way he treats the women around him even though he is a man raised by the kindness of women – his mother and his two sisters.
Khufiya

Khufiya is a world of 'what if's and 'maybe's and that's how it leaves you feeling, even if you end up with a content smile on your face. That is Khufiya's biggest setback – the reluctance to follow through on its most delicious angles. The film seems like it's often standing on a cliff, ready to take the plunge but it never happens.

Chhaava isn't interested in nuance – the stilted storytelling, fitting seamlessly into the kind of filmmaking we've come to expect from historical biopics over the years, makes for a tedious watch. The film was perhaps 85% sword fights and (light) gore, and while the cinematography is masterfully executed, the narrative fails to deliver a compelling story about Sambhaji Maharaj or the concept of 'swarajya' that drove his reign.
