• Drop whatever else you’re doing, and soak in this love saga.

  • ‘Man of Steel’ leans more towards Nolan’s angsty ‘Dark Knight’ movies than Marvel’s playful ‘Avengers’. Yet it doesn’t have the great ideas of that Batman trilogy. What it does have – despite all its shortcomings – is genuine awe and wonder in the bits where Superman takes flight. For those portions, for the charming new leading man, and some solid special effects, it’s worth a watch.

  • If you’re willing to suspend disbelief, and even embrace the illogical, you’ll be rewarded with a film that doesn’t bore you even for a minute.

  • There’s no denying that ‘Bombay Talkies’ is a breath of fresh air – a wonderful gift to audiences on the 100th birthday of Indian cinema. I’m going with three and half out of five for ‘Bombay Talkies’. Through four consummate storytellers, we’re reminded just how much the movies mean to us.

  • Simplistic, yet funny in generous doses and even occasionally moving, ‘The Croods’ has enough to entertain young audiences. I’m going with three out of five and a recommendation to take the kids.

  • It’s light and easy, and not hard to like. Just don’t expect much more.

  • Despite its many indulgences ‘Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns’ is ultimately an engaging watch. I’m going with three out of five for this fascinating tale of ambition and emotions that might have further benefited from tighter writing.

  • It’s only February, but one of the year’s best films has arrived.

  • Infusing humor into tense scenes, he gives us a delicious thriller that you don’t want to miss.
