"Give it a whirl. Like a Rado wristwatch that a character automatically dismisses for fake, this film may not look it but happens to be the real thing."

"On the upside, the Punjabbi-ness is not exaggerated. No giddhas-bhangras. No bijis-baujis. And no rock-garden-Chandigarh or Sukhna-lake-Chandigarh."

Are you a Punjabi? Relatable- check. Are you wedding game? Enjoyable- Check. Are you a DDLJ person? Ram Kapoor's authoritative performance- check. My checklist gets just a few ticks up, and the movie is not one of my high favourites. Wondering why the film's here? Because it's exactly that mindless masala romantic entertainer you rarely get to fully fledged proportions these days. It has comedy, drama, romance, everything- but it doesn't compromise to a relatable plot premise. Anything which offers you a story like Mere Dad Ki Maruti is a goddamn hella good joyride. There is full Chak De Fatte faadu 'danger' dulhan-dulha story with a reminiscent tone of Jab We Met we haven't met before.
