Most Divergent Takes

Gandhari

Gandhari

2026 · TheQuint

Gandhari is a shrill, blurry, barely coherent movie that's a strong contender for the year's worst Hindi film. The pacing is on its own trip entirely, racing to establish a barrage of details, rushing past characters, stopping for a scene or two before diving headfirst into the next messy montage.

Babita Singh Reporting

Babita Singh Reporting

2026 · TheQuint

Babita Singh Reporting works better as a coming-of-rage origin story than as a thoughtful crime drama. While the film doesn't quite join the ranks of the Hindi streaming crime drama hall of fame, its protagonist certainly does.

Vibe

Vibe

2026 · TheQuint

Vibe is an overlong, uneven 2.5-hour action-comedy that only comes to life in fits and starts. While it delivers great moments, the two genres don't quite coalesce and collide to their full potential, resulting in a film that feels out of place with generic action narrative overshadowing its comedy.

Ikka

Ikka

2026 · TheQuint · Jul 2026

Despite its punishing duration, it's effective. Uplifted by thunderous actors, Althea Kaushal's well-plotted screenplay ensures that, when Ikka works, it really does.

Drishyam 3

Drishyam 3

2026 · TheQuint · May 2026

Drishyam 3 is certainly a worthy sequel and continuation of Georgekutty's journey, and I can't think of a greater compliment. Among the many triumphs of Joseph's (now) trilogy is that we care about these characters so deeply that merely being around them and watching their warm, playful scuffles is its own delight.

Accused

Accused

2026 · TheQuint · Feb 2026

But none of it matters when the craft and storytelling are this shoddy. Accused has the sensibility, pitch, zero-shits-given dubbing and lazy attention to detail of a low-hanging fruit of a JioHotstar show (derogatory). The mystery of what went wrong here—and how the film misfires so marvellously—is more enticing than anything the dull narrative has to offer.
