While the director has put all his energies in creating a thematic goal with his technical and artistic approach, he has not paid attention to the lethargically crafted script delivered by screenwriters Charles Leavitt and Steven Knight. Though they have adapted the screenplay from a story by Matt Greenberg, based on the book ‘The Spook’s Apprentice’ by Joseph Delaney, there are plot holes that make the narration a generic fantasy fare.

Overall, Director Bennett Miller, after generating the right balance for a tense build up crushes the impact with a rushed denouement. This leaves the viewers in a vacuum. If it were not for the ace actors and their performances, “Foxcatcher” would have been just another mediocre fare.
-
Overall, despite glitches that test your sense of logic and actuality, ‘Dolly Ki Doli’ comes across an entertaining film.
-
…a good introductory film for those who are not aware of Alan Turing and it is worth a watch. Visually with gripping metaphors along with snapshots of WWII and a colour palette that’s apt, the film captures the era and the fine nuances of artists to perfection.
-
“Big Eyes” is a fascinating tale simply told with good performances and without much complications.
-
More could’ve been achieved in this laudable attempt but the director’s willingness to not challenge the cliches is very much evident. Nevertheless, “Naaigal Jaakirathai” is entertaining but beware of the formulaic presentation.
-
With a 169-minute run time, the film drags in parts, but never fails to intrigue.
-
In totality, Hoffman and his team capture the flamboyance of the 1990s along with the lilting background score in style, making it an ideal film for a romantic date.
For others, it would be a mushy entertainer nevertheless.
-
The film claims to have not hurt any animals. But what about the poor audience? There ought to be a parallel SPCA — Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Audience.

“Poojai” should’ve been more than just the hero flexing his muscles and fighting.
