'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga' has notes that are only very safe and play them extremely maonstream-manner. All those party songs, all those sangeet sequences, all those amazing costumes which you saw in the film's promos are present and splattered like a plethora of colours throughout the film. It doesn't convince us entirely in these bits. But have you see two girls humming a romantic songs amongst mustard fields, and finding solace in the arms of each other? Yes Shelly Chopra's extremely beautiful 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga' does that and tells the story very charmingly. It promises us that their love story will find a way to blossom. And that must be appreciated.

The movie about an lgbt relationship is a bold move indeed. But it would have been braver had more focus would have been shown on the the said lgbt relationship instead. The relationship between the 2 girls is hardly given 5 to 10 minutes of screen time and hardly developed. That being said this movie does bring forward the stigma associated to same sex relationship in light and for a mainstream movie to do that it’s admirable. This is a good movie and can be watched but could have been great had more conviction shown in what the makers are trying to say

Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga could have been revolutionary for its basic idea definitely is, but in its current form, owing to an amateur handling by director Dhar and her co-writer Dhaliwal, it "just feels okay" to watch and get it done with. TN.
