Writer Udaykrishna and director Ranjith appear to have decided that audiences in 2026 are still waiting for a film from 2004. Yet what arrives is a bloated slog stuffed with more characters than the film knows what to do with, repeatedly producing unintentionally comic situations with a completely serious expression throughout its runtime.

Law And Order not only delivers an outdated and amateurish cop drama, but also manages to drag Mammootty's iconic Black character into the mess. Mammootty's cameo in Law And Order is his worst guest appearance, tarnishing his iconic character Shanmugham from Black.

There's simply nothing good to say about Law and Order, and I am not even exaggerating this. It's not just that the movie's visuals look like they were crafted for a shoddy soap opera, but literally every aspect of Law and Order is godawful.
