Logan Lucky Movie Review: Steven Soderbergh, the master of heist cinema, strikes again with a delightful comedy about people who may look like idiots and yet concoct a brilliant plan.

The far-fetched but equitable resolution will likely warm the cockles of genre geeks’ hearts.

It’s unpredictable, with some unforeseen twists and turns but with its heart intact. While the last act feels a bit drawn out, especially with the rushed introduction of a particular character, the majority of the film plays out smoothly and there’s hardly a lull in the quirky humor and suspense. Even if it doesn’t raise the stakes of the genre, there’s enough potential to turn this funny and smartly written caper into another entertaining Soderbergh franchise.

This one is not a great film but definitely an enjoyable one!

This isn’t a very thought provoking film like other Soderbergh works, but it’s probably his most entertaining one to date.
