Naalu Policeum Nalla Irundha Oorum Reviews and Ratings
-
… is a tedious comedy drama full of uninspiring, verbose performances. Even at a running time of 135 minutes, the film looks butt-numbing to sit through.
-
If you’re looking to watch a cop film which doesn’t feature violence, gore or over-the-top action sequences, then this movie might be your pick. Watch it for the comic sequences.
-
The film depends predominantly on Singampuli and he does not disappoint in giving his brand of comedy. He also has scope for emotions in the second half and with that he proves he is not just a comedian. Arulnithi as a good minded policeman who seriously tries to restore the peace gives what is required for the character. Remya Nambeesan is refreshing while Bhagavathy Perumal and Rajkumar could have been used better to bring in more fun and laughter.
-
This movie is a one-time watch – you can watch it for Arulnithi and Singam Puli.

Naalu Policeum Nalla Iruntha Oorum is yet another film where the core story is unique and novel but the execution falls short.
-
NPNO is an admirable film, mainly for its irreverence to elements that are typically thought of as being forced by producers. There’s no big climactic duel at the end. There’s just the one duet in the whole film, and even that is shot as a parody of a song from the black and white era, as if to say that it is in that time that such love songs firmly belong.
-
With a theme as unique as this, Naalu Policeum Nalla Irundha Oorum could’ve been much better had it been executed with little more intent. The movie is a rough mixture of comedy and drama in inappropriate proportions.
-
One of the downers of NPNO is its cheesy dramatic screenplay which gives a soap opera effect. Some section of the audience may find NPNO as disjointed but having said that there could also be a fair share of takers who might grab it with open hands for some funny moments.
Verdict: Screams of Juvenility and lacks a grip! -
The crux of NPNO has true potential. A stage like setting and a confused second half pull back NPNO from the heights it could have reached. The end result looks like an ordinary game played on a superb turf.
