Nagabandham

High on Grandeur, Low on Emotional Stakes

Nagabandham needs to be credited for daring to tell such a great mythological story and telling it right. It is an ambitious theatrical gamble that works excellently as a big-screen visual spectacle but struggles heavily with its storytelling.

The supernatural-devotional elements keep the boat afloat, but the film is weighed down by subpar writing. While weak visual effects, uninspired action choreography, and underwhelming writing hold it back, its supernatural and devotional themes lend the film enough intrigue to remain watchable.

Nagabandham is an ambitious outing which should be commended for its technical output as the makers spent more on the making than remunerations. But then, a similar ambition is not felt in the writing department making it a disappointing fare.

A grand mythological spectacle that gets lost in its own maze. Watch it only if you enjoy mythology-driven fantasy spectacles and don't mind a stretched, VFX-heavy production.

The film sets up a mythological hunt for two sacred relics and a hidden gateway. Its scale and visual ambition are overshadowed by weak writing and thin emotional stakes.
