Size Zero focuses on the theme of being figure-conscious. In a funny script, the advantages and disadvantages of obesity are highlighted in such a way that audiences will realize that being happy is more important than size zero.
Critic Consensus
Critical reception for Size Zero is mixed-to-average, with most reviewers awarding scores in the 60/100 range. Anushka Shetty's performance is the most consistently praised element, with several critics calling it among her career-best work and recommending the film primarily on that basis. The most common criticisms center on the weak, predictable second half, an over-reliance on love-story clichés, and a script that fails to do justice to its promising premise. A handful of critics also questioned whether the film's messaging on body image is coherently or convincingly executed.

"On the whole, Size Zero is a film which has some interesting moments going its way. Interesting premise and a superb first half are basic positives of this film. If you manage to ignore the mediocre second half and predictable nature of the script, you can easily give this film a shot for Anuhska's stunning performance and some feel good moments."Read full review ↗
"On the whole, Size Zero is a hilarious family entertainer which will be loved by everyone. This movie marks as one of the best performances in Anushka's career till date."Read full review ↗
"Size Zero is a one-time watch if only for Anushka. Ironic that after preaching big is beautiful in this film, she finds herself under immense pressure to lose weight and "get back in shape" for Baahubali 2."Read full review ↗
"Size Zero is not a great film. It is a good film which tries to convey a gem of a message, but falls prey to the cliches of typical love story in the end. Overall, Size Zero is a decent watch. If you are looking for a decent family entertainer, Size Zero is your pick. Last but not the least, please do watch it for Anushka as she is absolutely fab in the film!"Read full review ↗
"Size Zero has Anushka doing her best and its heart is also at the right place with fun first half. A better second half and some entertainment would have made difference to overall effect of the movie. - See more at: http://www.telugucinema.com/reviews/Size-Zero-Movie-Review#sthash.uMDIvgk2.dpuf"Read full review ↗
"Size Zero is slow at times and can go into a sermon mode but then it packs some moments which will make you laugh out loud. You could watch this film anyway because there's no effort and it's not like you are burning any calories!"Read full review ↗

"Last half an hour turns absolute nonsense and looks like a show reel for PVP Sports. The romantic thread has no surprises and runs on a predictable note. We have seen tons of movies running with similar love triangle and it is dragged and dragged until we are fed up of it. Size Zero had the potential to be a promising film but the second half turned out to be the worst nightmare. Wish the director has put in half the efforts and hard work that Anushka has put into this film. Verdict: Sweety Shines But The Film Doesn't."Read full review ↗
"First half of the film is decent and sets up a mood. Second half takes a diversion from what we prepare after watching 1st half. It becomes a serious film from then onwards. Plus points of the film are Anushka, visuals, music and production values. A single plot without deviation would have worked well for the movie. The messages, fitness facts and motivational episodes conveyed through film are good. We need to wait and see how common audiences embrace the film."Read full review ↗
"Director Prakash Rao who debuted with Anangana O Dheerudu has proved again that he has visual flair but has no grip on narration. Writer Kanika's script lacks dum. Music is another big letdown. The movie has excessive runtime."Read full review ↗
"The movie is touching and cute. But the message about "true inner beauty" and so on was annoying at times. The movie is a meretricious celebration of those standards. Anushka tries to convey the message 'appearance is nothing' but the shell and the movie is nothing but a class on diet and excercise."Read full review ↗
"Right from the start to finish the film sails listlessly torturing viewers.Even the songs got Tamil flavor and fail to connect well with the Telugu audiences and so too is the comedy of Bharath and others. Songs come and go disturbing the tempo of the movie. Screenplay went for a toss and direction went awry."Read full review ↗
"The film has its heart at the right place in terms of what it wants to convey, but if only it had been done in a smarter, more entertaining way."Read full review ↗
