For a debut directorial venture, Caarthick Raju’s Thirudan Police is a commendable end product that manages to prop itself up as an entertaining thriller with a smidgen of comedy mixed in.

If one had to appreciate something about this film, it would be the director’s ability to have sold this story to the producer. Hats off to you. You must be a very good narrator.

The movie is a clean time pass without much fuss; however there are some elements that could have worked better if more attention to detail was given.

…a jolly good movie which has an emotional connect as well as entertains and is just 2 hours 12 minutes.

As you walk out, you can’t but wonder if the director, after noting all the laughter at the end, rues his decision not to have made a full-fledged comedy.
