While many Bollywood sequels do not work for numerous reasons, Sujoy Ghosh should be given credit for taking his time and coming up with a solid script rather than dishing out a sub-par film. Unfortunately, he set the bar too high with Kahaani and that is the only reason why the second part isn’t as thrilling. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t watch the movie at the cinemas. Vidya Balan’s riveting performance and the dark, taut first half is enough reason for you to book your tickets for Kahaani 2 now.

If you are bored of those generic Bollywood films with item numbers and over-the-top action sequences and are looking for an honest and heartfelt film that will give you something to take back home, Dear Zindagi is a delightful watch you cannot miss. Plus, it has SRK in a never-seen-before avatar.

A thriller set within closed doors, which would definitely make you not stay at home alone. The whole cast ensemble make the experience worthwhile.

Despite its exotic locations, charming cast and soulful music, the film lacks a certain depth to keep it afloat. The story gets too slow and stretchy at times but it will no doubt tug at your heartstrings. While the script is another major let-down, the film is shot beautifully and is visually stunning.

Force 2, despite having a familiar story, has its moments. It is laced with twists where one least expects. It is indeed Deo that does a fantastic job at keeping the film engaging. Additionally, is gives us an antagonist we will always remember.

If you are a Potterhead, you do not need a reason. But if action is your thing, Fantastic Beasts blends fantasy with it to suit your needs. Catch the movie in 3D to experience the best of the special effects.

Magik is back with its magical music. Though there are a few changes in the members of the band, their music only gets better. With some fusion and tracks from the prequel, they will definitely rock your hearts.

Marvel is yet again expanding our horizons into expecting different kinds of heroes and threats to our world. Watch as they insert minor foreshadows of the future of the series, as everything comes together in the Infinity War. Watch this because Marvel delivers yet another gem. Watch it for Stan Lee’s hilarious cameo, and please do not leave before watching the mid-credits and post-credits scenes.

…even with its cheesy ending, the constant singing, and the eye-rolling action, the movie leaves you with a positive feeling, and as you look at your watch (or your phones) to check the time, you too, would wish for that hug at the end of every hour.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is a typical Dharma film as it has a bit of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, and Kal Ho Na Ho. The film stars good-looking actors, who are in prime form; has a musical score that’ll be on your playlist for a while, and an unconventional love story that will touch your heart. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil isn’t Karan Johar’s best film but is good enough to keep you entertained for 2 hours 38 minutes.
