Bad Newz

If Bad Newz had stuck to its comedic guns, without resorting to the weepy saccharine bits which take over in the second half, it would have been gold. Kaushal and Dimri have real spark and she holds her own, but the second half, taken over by sighs and moans, is a mood kill.

Triptii Dimri seems intent on concealing the sea of emotions swirling within and around her behind an inscrutable mask as the befuddled character fights to assert her right to decide what is best for her and her unborn babies.

BAD NEWZ is a fun-filled entertainer.

With a hilarious premise and two funny men, this one’s a laugh riot. Even when the plot takes a familiar turn and stretches, the witty dialogues and spot-on comedic timing from the cast ensure you're consistently entertained.

Bad Newz, an entertainer, though quite adult in concept, could have done what it did with much more depth to match the film to which it is a sequel in spirit—the 2019 Good Newwz.

Bad Newz is a fitfully funny farce that's bungled its proportions of romance and comedy, with Vicky Kaushal's vibrant persona and chemistry with Triptii Dimri elevating the rom-com, but ultimately the film has no wish to rise above its fluff objectives and casually reinforces traditional mindsets.
