• CHAK DE INDIA is a team effort and no one person can take credit, but for commercial purposes alone, it’s Shah Rukh Khan who will pull in the audience.

As for the women, I suggest they go in groups and bring the house down. This is one film that celebrates women power!!!

  • It’s always tough to make a movie on any real life incident. Getting to the details can be an arduous task, but director Apoorva Lakhia sticks to his guns (no pun intended). There’s intricate care taken about every bit of detailing from clothes, to lighting, to camera angles, to sound, to action scenes. The script is airtight.

  • Vinay Pathak carries off this film on his stocky shoulders with aplomb. The actor, who made his mark, first as a veejay and then in the Great Indian Comedy Show, has come of age. If his role in SAY SALAAM INDIA was small, here, he hogs the limelight as well as screen space. It must have been a brave decision for director Shyam Bellary to put the spotlight on Vinay, who as Bharat Bhushan brings the house down.
