• Bhaag Milkha Bhaag will have you captivated with its grit and enigma. Made with panache, it’s hard to take your eyes off Farhan Akhtar, who enriches Milkha Singh as a surreal charismatic figure beyond the realms of flesh and blood! I am going with a 4/5 and applause for the film’s team. This one is so moving and scintillating that such films are a reward to the audiences for bearing through the fiascoes!

  • Lootera is one film that will overwhelm you. Vikramaditya Motwane has given a seraphic piece that glorifies cinema itself. The narrative is framed on a devastative tapestry and the film’s climax knots up calamitously that will keep one absorbed. Sonakshi Sinha’s smashing performance is first rate and the film’s tone and timber is scrumptious! I am going with 4/5 for Lootera! Films like these have the milieu of a classic that shall soar its way to glories!

  • Painted on a novel idea of unrequited love, packing it with a kinetic first half, the film’s buoyancy transforms into brittle in its second half. With a few mercurial performances from its supporting cast mostly Abhay Deol, it is the clumsy and lackadaisical show in the second half that makes the film plain facile. Had the film maintained its force, it could easily have been more spirited. However a sluggish screenplay and lurching script makes Raanjhanaa a half baked effort‬ and hence gets a 2.5/5 from me. It is exasperating to see how directors lack the perseverance to hold steady a film’s entertainment value till the end.

  • Rajkumar Gupta’s Ghanchakkar indeed is far from perfect. But it is both compelling and challenging. Boldly making a unique film that refuses to garnish out ready made thriller, expect this one to jolt your gray matter. The film’s performances are decadent, especially that of Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi who are top notch. I am going with a 3 on 5 for Ghanchakkar. It could have been a better film but it still impresses as a stirring and engaging comic-suspense thriller.

  • Man Of Steel definitely glorifies Superman rendering a magnanimous impression! With very little words, and alluring vigorous action, this time Superman shines in his swanky new matted scaly suit and presents to us a story which effectively challenges a few prevailing mythical ideas about the character. Synder’s direction is intelligent and Man Of Steel which gives wholesome entertainment despite its hitches manages to get a 3/5. Go with relaxed expectations and watch this one for sure!

  • As someone who went loaded with expectations, I did not see any honesty in the shallow plot hurriedly translated into a movie. With shabbily etched out characters and their largely flimsy issues, it is the lack of adequate depth in the story that digs its grave.

  • Following from the popular American sitcom Grey’s Anatomy in its idea and execution, the film with its drooping second half, shallow approach and mostly overtly melodramatic screenplay packed with unnecessary dialogues make it a terrible drag

  • The buffoonery has been tackled without an aorta of logic. Tackily done rude humor and script that conspicuously lacks lucid flavor, YPD 2 loses its novelty by trying too hard to make you laugh.

  • Ranbir Kapoor delivers an outstanding performance. He will indeed make you believe that he is Bunny! Effortlessly slipping into the skin of the character, the film belongs to him!

  • Ishkq In Paris that begins as a believable tale of modern day love culminates into shaky misguided climax. Priety Zinta who is back on silver screen does a pleasing job but her film fails to match up to her bygone colossal stature. Unable to find anything heartwarming in the film, I am settling for 2 on 5 for this one. With a couple of commendable elements like smoothness of its narrative, the movie does not work for most part because of its constant attempt at being melodramatic and the lack of an effortless script! Priety fans can gear up for it, the rest can re-watch Hum Tum.
