• Filmistaan is also a step ahead for the film industry. Of course it would have of been better had it managed to make it to the theaters in time to celebrate the centenary celebrations of Indian cinema. But it’s never too late for the good! Jai cine-maa ki! Filmistaan is a movie recommended for one and all!

  • To write about CityLights is difficult. It is one film that brings up so many thoughts that I rather shut up that write anything that does not do justice to the film. That’s the impact Hansal Mehta’s direction left on me. This film soaks you in, and refuses to leave you much after you have left the theater. The songs continue to haunt. Recommended must watch!

  • Do not watch Children of War if you are looking for a dose of entertainment. Watch it to understand what could have caused one of the world’s most painful struggles for independence.

  • Hawaa Hawaai is an endearing film for sure. It is also a statement. The film speaks for the director’s apparent ease with subjects involving a child. It affirms that writing Taare Zameen Par was not a fluke. And neither was making Stanley ka Dabba. This is one director who knows his emotions. Enjoy this Hawaa Hawaai. Be inspired!

  • It’s limitations albeit, Manjunath is one film that should be watched. Just to remind us of that one tale of courage if not for its cinematic value. Having said that, director Sandeep Varma should be applauded for making a film that is true to the subject and not sensationalized.

  • An emphatic directorial debut by Vijay Raaz. Do yourself a favour. Buy a ticket for this one! It is not often than you find people walk out of the theater in silence. Happens either when they don’t know how to react, or are just bowled over with emotions. As I left the hall after watching Kya Dilli Kya Lahore I was one among majority who walked out, silent.

  • This film is Director John Hancock’s best film. He has taken pains to show how hard it was to make “Mary Poppins”. And with all its brilliance and complexities, the film has a feel-good factor that remains etched in your memory, long after you leave the theater.

  • …is a directorial winner. While it entertains, it also springs forth another director worth looking out to. It is a film which gets you to root for the protagonist. And you know you have winner when a film makes you feel such.
