From the first frame, you know you’re in for something special and it’s pretty clear that Leonardo has given his everything to this film.
-
The real life investigation conducted by the team of Spotlight journalists won them a Pulitzer Prize. In case you do watch this movie – and it is highly recommended that you do – it’ll be easy to see why they won that honour. Bold, audacious and shocking, a consummate piece of work.

If you like stories about complicated relationships, this might be the ticket for you.
-
While the period detailing is great, the film does have a few historical inaccuracies. And yes, the pace can be a bit slow at times but the emotional intensity of the film never sags. And John McNamara’s script saves the day.
-
Supported by a very clever script, Deadpool is deliciously irreverent, subversive and uproariously funny.

…this is a beautiful tale of a mother’s love for her child, selfless and pure. Joy will do anything – and she does indeed – to ensure the well being of her charge. And yet, their existence is curiously symbiotic. Very few movies are able to touch upon the bond between a mother and child with such tender grace, set in contemporary times.

Astier, Clichy and crew have – in terms of renderings and dialogues – stayed very faithful to Rene Goscinny and Albert Uderzo’s beloved characters and have dished out something that is both briskly-paced as well as entertaining enough for its core audience, children. This one makes for some fairly delightful viewing.

There is nothing really monster-like about these well-rendered characters. They’re not scary-looking; in fact, they resemble inflated toys. And in terms of emotional quotient, they express the same kind of feelings as the humans do. There is a moral angle here – that about learning how to coexist, acceptance and other good values. This one will keep the kids entertained.

The storytelling is top notch. It’s a carefully-crafted dance of nuance that balances a bit of everything. The set pieces are spectacular and then of course, there are the lightsaber battles… The Force is indeed, epic with this one. Don’t miss it.
