• If you like morbid whodunit thrillers that make you feel like you are trapped in a dark room with no glimmer of hope whatsoever; this brutal, twisted and voyeuristic tale is bound to leave you gasping for breath.

  • Essentially, this is everything – absolutely typical and more – that you’d expect from a Tim Burton-helmed film.

  • Sure, the script is funny and there are plenty of sight gags. But while its economical run-time won’t have tiny tots shifting impatiently in their seats, you might get the feeling that the film was a tad rushed along the way. In fact, to call the film fast-paced is an understatement. Nonetheless, the entertainment factor is still present and strongly so, and credit must be given for the rather original premise of the story. Kids are sure to find this one enjoyable.

  • A good mix of gravitas, comic relief and attempts at some deep stuff with lines like “What we’ve lost in the fire, we’ll find in the ashes”. Saddle up for a thrilling ride with this modern-day Western packed with action.

  • Even though a lengthy two hours, the narrative skips along rather nicely. Fans of the series are sure to like it.

  • Robinson Crusoe has its share of action and the brisk pace does help. The animal and bird characters are no doubt lovely to watch. The sight gags and snappy one-liners will also elicit a few laughs from children. However, after a point it can at times veer into slapstick zones. A slightly better screenplay too would have enhanced the film further. But by and large, it doesn’t detract anything from the general message of the film, which is about the importance of teamwork, collaboration, and friendship in tough situations. The rendering of the animation itself is decent, without being over-saturated. Fun fare for kids.

  • Okay, Collet-Serra has taken a few liberties (read: many gratuitous close-ups of Lively’s pert posterior) here but all said and done, this is without a doubt the actress’ most daring and challenging role to date. Blake Lively, take a bow. You rock.

  • Hanks is fantastic as Sully. In fact, this is a fantastic film. Go watch it.

  • Suffice to say that within the first few minutes of the movie, you’ll find out why it’s called Don’t Breathe. It’s fantastic. Go watch it.

  • If you like Jackie Chan’s brand of cinema, make no mistake; you will enjoy this.
