• The film ultimately works only for its actors but most do not get to flex their talent in a script that is trying to tell too many things at the same time.

  • Naam Shabana is well intended but is unable to take flight due to poor writing.

  • Jolly LLB 2 is based on the same format of its prequel, it works well. It lacks the surprise element that the first part had, it is not that cleverly written as well, yet Jolly LLB 2 manages to engage viewers and gives Kumar ample scope to perform. And he doesn’t disappoint.

  • Even if we ignored the factual inaccuracies- and those are plenty- the film doesn’t really give us anything new. It’s not a film based on history, it’s not a full-fledged love story, neither a political drama- it remains a half-baked story – a story that we are all very familiar with.

  • ‘Bridge Of Spies’ is a film which needs the viewers’ attention- especially if you are not well versed with history of Cold War. Many things are left for the viewers to understand- the director takes that liberty is assuming that everyone has done their homework well. On several occasions as a viewer one might feel too many characters are being introduced and too many intricacies exist in the plot line. Watch it for the charming Tom Hanks- no character is alien to this actor. He makes it the most endearing – as always.

  • the film falters primarily because of a very wobbly narrative which keeps introducing too many characters, too many sub plots till the end. The film’s climax has zero build up and you almost know how it is all going to end.

  • Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Ugly’ with make you laugh at some of the irrelevance, it will make you cringe at the blood and gore, it will leave you disturbed even but more importantly it will make you think. And that’s why you should watch it.

  • The film isn’t bad, it is definitely not unwatchable- but with actors like Adil Hussain, KK Raina playing key roles, one hoped to be awestruck or overwhelmed. Sadly, ‘Zed Plus’ doesn’t leave you with any such feeling.

  • … a typical example of how some films should remain untouched and not be remade because it loses its authentic flavour. Go watch the original film in Bengali instead- it comes with English sub titles and even those translated lines are better than the dialogues of this remake.

  • Watch it only if you have no other movie to watch this weekend. I’d rather suggest you to stay at home, actually.
