• On the whole, CHALO DILLI is exciting and amusing in parts. The film has some terrific moments, but the writing could’ve been more persuasive towards the post-interval portions. Yet, all said and done, there’s something nice about it, despite the blemishes. Decent watch!

  • On the whole, SHOR IN THE CITY belongs to one of those rare categories of movies with sensibilities that would not only entice the festival crowd and the cinema literate, but also lure the ardent moviegoer. Although it is not your standard Bollywood entertainer and nor does it have your customary flippant and frivolous humor, it prides itself on a certain distinctive Indian appeal with elements of adventure, thrill and drama with its understated and minimalist humor which makes it stand out in the crowd. I robustly recommend, try not to miss this one!

  • On the whole, F.A.L.T.U. banks heavily on the formula that the youth loves. It’s funny, energetic and has a big ace in its smash hit musical score. I would go to the extent of saying that the movie works because it doesn’t pretend to be path-breaking. It offers what the audience desires: Entertainment!

  • On the whole, 7 KHOON MAAF is a dark film that has its share of positives and negatives. However, the film will meet with diverse reactions – some will fancy it, while some will abhor it. The film will appeal more to the critics/columnists and the festival circuit. However, it is not the kind of cinema that will set the box-office ablaze. Ideally, I would’ve given a two star rating for this film, but I am going ahead with an extra star for Priyanka Chopra’s sterling performance!

  • On the whole, PATIALA HOUSE is a film about attachments, affiliations and familial bonding. It’s a compelling watch, more for its drama and histrionics than anything else. It’s a film that explores the father-son relationship and not just those in India, but around the world should be able to relate to the predicament depicted in this film. The hallmark of the film is the merging of its engaging drama with cricket and that’s what makes this product stand out from the earlier Akshay starrers. Especially its penultimate 30 minutes, which is the brightest spot of this enterprise. If the movie succeeds in pulling the heartstrings of the moviegoer, it would propel Akshay back in the same position he once was after the victory of NAMASTEY LONDON and SINGH IS KINNG.

  • On the whole, UTT PATAANG springs a pleasant surprise. It has a novel premise and what makes it even more appealing is the way the subject material has been executed. In fact, it’s a difficult film to conceptualize, pen and also execute and should be appreciated by those who have an appetite for out of the box themes.

  • On the whole, YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA is a hardcore mass entertainer that fulfils the expectations of the aam junta. Those who love Deols will adore this one, while those who don’t, won’t ignore it either. The film works big time for its mass-appealing second half and loads of entertainment it has to offer. The target audience is the masses and it is this segment of movie-going audience that should carry this film to success. Business at single screens should be exceptional, while the film should set new benchmarks in North India [Punjab specifically]. Internationally too, the film should perform the best in U.K., U.S.A. and Canada.

  • On the whole, NO ONE KILLED JESSICA is a poignant story of two women’s resolve for justice. It’s a remarkable blend of facts and fiction inspired by a series of real-life episodes, which has thankfully not been presented as a tedious biography or in a mind-numbing docu-drama format. It’s more of an engaging thriller which has the right doses of histrionics, tautness, anguish and thrills. The emotional and disturbing journey, the strength of the common man and the relentless endeavor of the media have all been most compellingly put together on moving picture. In times of yore, a lot of films have been attempted on real-life incidents, but haven’t struck a chord so effectively. NO ONE KILLED JESSICA should shatter this jinx. This heroic and daring film truly deserves a prolonged applause.

  • On the whole, PAAN SINGH TOMAR shatters the standard rules of this genre. Besides, the film makes you cognizant that serious cinema can be uniformly delightful, like any other enthralling entertainer. If this variety of cinema allures you then chances are that you will take pleasure in watching PAAN SINGH TOMAR. Recommended!

  • DABANGG is a full on entertainer with three aces – Salman Khan like never before, stylish action and super music. It’s a foregone conclusion that DABANGG will open huge. As far as the business prospects are concerned, the film will set new benchmarks, so much so that DABANGG will be one of the yardsticks to gauge the level of business in times to come. Sure to fetch an earth-shattering opening, the film will create a pandemonium at the box-office, cementing the status of Salman Khan as the darling of the masses and making the distributors laugh all the way to the bank. It has Blockbuster written all over it!
