ZERO has several factors going for it: star presence, winsome performances, energetic soundtrack and of course, it’s timed during the Christmas and New Year vacations. Sadly, the weak, flawed and lacklustre screenwriting is all that you recall after you’ve watched the much-awaited movie. This one’s an epic disappointment!

THUGS OF HINDOSTAN has some engrossing moments in the first half, that’s about it. The post-interval portions are an absolute downer. The plot is formulaic, while the screenplay is riddled with cinematic liberties. At the box-office, TOH is bound to have a huge weekend thanks to the festive period coupled with tremendous hype and the impressive names involved. But once the initial euphoria settles down, it’ll be difficult for the film to sustain. This one is a golden opportunity lost, a KING-SIZED DISAPPOINTMENT!

HUMSHAKALS tries too hard to make you laugh, but fails miserably.

REVOLVER RANI has engaging moments, but they are few and far between. This being Kangna’s immediate film release after the remarkable success of QUEEN may benefit the film to an extent.

KAANCHI could’ve been a riveting fare, but doesn’t rise beyond the ordinary in the final tally.

O TERI had the potential to be a smart take on political scams and corrupt bureaucrats, but, unfortunately, the film crumbles thanks to a shoddy screenplay.

On the whole, DISHKIYAOON misses the mark!
