Against The Sun is just another film about survivors of World War II. It is neither motivating nor enthralling.

Technically, the quality of the visual effects is above average but oft seen and forgettable.

Effectively, The Lazarus Effect is not worth your leisure time.

“Ouija” may appeal to only those getting introduced to the horror genre. Otherwise, it is a disappointment considering it is a Halloween weekend release.

Overall, the film falls short on the directorial front and what adds to the disappointing fare is the bleeping of the cuss words in the dialogues owning to the censor board’s diktat.

What keeps you hooked is your patience or your fancy craze to see the once glorious A-list action stars perform. By and large, “The Expendables 3” may appeal only to front benchers who enjoy the adrenaline rush of mindless violence.

A concept film, based on Lois Lowry’s book of the same name, Philip Noyce’s “The Giver” reminds you of Neil Burger’s “Divergent” which was released last April. But unlike “Divergent”, this one is a simpler, one-dimensional story of revolt against the system.

With the cuss words bleeped out by the censors in India, it’s a killjoy to watch the film as the overall viewing experience is marred. In spite of this, it is worth watching this no-brainer, on a wet lazy afternoon.

Overall, despite good production quality, decent visuals, and high action drama, Besson’s fans would be disappointed because of the lack of noir-action drama. For the thinking audience, the same hooks that make the film engaging makes it look ridiculous and absurd.

… with its 3D effect is a mediocre fare that you’d want to watch on a rainy day if you have nothing better to do.

Overall, the zing is missing in the film and grace is lost!
