Tushar Joshi's Film Reviews
-
A spy flick with a bunch of cool action scenes thrown in to raise the tempo, 3 Days to Kill is strictly average.
-
Bewakoofiyaan had the opportunity to be smarter and funnier, unfortunately it plays it too safe to rise above the ordinary.

The film has a seen-that feel. Haven’t there been enough films about rape, corruption, poverty and drama with villains, cops and politicians. Except that this time, it is a woman unleashing the hell and another women slicing and dicing the culprits. The song and dance in a film like this, was it really necessary? It could have become a memorable film like Mirchi and Mrityudand but in trying to be commercial, the film loses it’s flavour.

If you suffered from a 300 hangover long enough to lust for another round of some exotic imagery and blood curling sword fights then Rise of the Empire is the prime ticket this weekend.
-
Custom made for kids, this film has a few heart warming moments for grown ups too. Kids should love this one with its simple message and some colorful animation.
-
Despite its flaws, Non-Stop is highly addictive and will keep you guessing who’s the bad guy right till the end!
-
If human emotions and how they play out in different situations intrigue you then Nebraska will definitely touch your heart with its simple yet beautiful storyline.
-
Pompeii is grand and lavish in visuals but poor on content.

The script is so sketchy that you might get a migraine following it. There are several twists and turns in the second half that just don’t connect the dots. We wish if filmmakers had to reference Hollywood films they would do it effectively. With films like Insidious and Conjuring doing so well at domestic box-office, the audience needs quality when it comes to horror.

Die hard Clooney fans can make a beeline, the rest can wait for it to hit HBO.
