Aarathu Sinam Reviews

Director Arivazhagan's Aarathu Sinam is a decent crime thriller with plenty of exciting moments that make it worth a watch.

Aarathu Sinam is not a frame-by-frame remake unlike many of the recent Malayalam remakes and some of the changes that the director has made to the plot work and make better sense in the context of the milieu where he sets his story.

While one didn't expect it to match the original film, Aarathu Sinam was disappointing as it didn't match low expectations either.

Aarathu Sinam is a compelling suspense thriller that’ll have you at the edge of your seat. Arulnithi’s performance is a highlight of this movie.

Aarathu Sinam is a decent investigation thriller, especially for audiences who haven't seen the original.

Characters come and go – a journalist who doesn’t believe in research, a cop who doubts Arvind, a suspect who worked as a driver for one of the victims. A heavily made-up Aishwarya Rajesh reminds us, grimly, that one Kaaka Muttai does not a Kollywood career make. Even the serial killer’s motive is underwhelming. And he won’t shut up either.

Arivazhagan's Aarathu Sinam is definitely a progressive Tamil movie that deserves a watch for its sincere attempt at the less explored investigative crime thriller genre.
