Chaar Din Ki Chandni

Dumb, offensive, and unfunny in equal measure, 'Chaar Din Ki Chandni' has no merits whatsoever, including its singularly unappealing cast, some of whom (Anita Raaj, Chandrachur Singh, Mukul Dev) seem to have been pulled out of cold-storage to make fools of themselves here. Particularly insensitive to Sikhs and gays, this exhausting film saps you of your energy, and your will to visit the cinema again anytime soon.

Like a shaadi ka band, CDKC's tone is mostly raucous - and good fun. Its script crosses swords with British writer P G Wodehouse's zany plots (castle full of imposters, suspicious uncles, a mosquito-bitten Johnny Lever) while paying hurried homage to masala-mixed Bollywood, leaving little time to worry about subtlety or depth.

What's Good: The farcical comedy and the outlandish characters that work very well; the post-interval portion; good performances; two songs.What's Bad: The ordinary first half; the less developed romantic track; the other songs, besides the two good numbers.Verdict: Chaar Din Ki Chandni is an entertaining and enjoyable fare which will keep the audience in splits.Loo break: Not really.Watch or Not?: Watch it for feeling truly refreshed with the mad-hatter comedy.

CHAAR DIN KI CHANDNI shows a lot of promise as a good comedy film early on, but totters in between.Somehow, director Samir Karnik manages to hold the film together and does come up with some hilarious scenes that will leave you in splits. CHAAR DIN KI CHANDNI is not all that bad. It's a good family entertainer if you are looking to lighten up your mood.

CDKC is a reiteration that Tusshar cannot work his way in solo-hero projects. The only respite then to this cinematic insult is a feisty performance by Kulraj Randhwa, who true to her on-screen name 'chandni' lights up the proceedings with her screen presence. Her dialogue delivery is sharp, chemistry with each of her co-actors is convincing.
