Chargesheet is an Bollywood Crime thriller, drama film directed by veteran Dev Anand, starring himself, Jackie Shroff, Naseeruddin Shah and Divya Dutta in lead roles, while Riya Sen appears in an item-number. The film is named after a formal document of accusation prepared by a law-enforcement agency in India. It released on 30 September 2011, to mixed reviews and failed at the box office due to multiple releases around the same time.Wikipedia
Over all, it's just the respect for Dev Anand that people will go to cinema hall, otherwise after 'Chargesheet', one would not dare to watch any other film.
Dev Anand still sees himself in a similar mould. Writing and directing movies. For those who felt the director in him would give younger actors a chance to dominate on screen, be warned this film is all about Dev Anand, Dev Anand and still more Dev Anand. In case you're not his admirer, you can abandon this review here itself. Or else keep reading.
But unlike some of the movies made today, Chargesheet story and screenplay are good. With some literally titillating scenes liberally thrown in, this movie would definitely appeal to the mass front benchers. A must see if you have to.
On the whole, Chargesheet will bomb miserably at the box-office.
Irrespective of how CHARGESHEET fares or received by the movie-going audience, I am sure Dev sahab would've already cracked the idea of his next film. I salute that!
