Nani is amazing in what he does. He is a treat to watch and it would not be wrong to say that the superstar is the backbone of the film. He has a swag and it is unbeatable. But it is the climax of the film that will give you goosebumps and is worth watching. It is a complete package.
  2. 123Telugu

    Film review ·

On the whole, Dasara is a gritty action drama that has Nani's outstanding performance. Barring a few laggy portions in the second half, the film is a perfect choice to enjoy the weekend.
  3. India Today

    Film review ·

Nani is the soul of Dasara. From expressing his vulnerabilities to crying his heart out and emoting in silence, he has given his career-best performance. While the film deals with a predictable story, it does have enough meat to hold onto its own.
  4. Indian Express

    Film review

Overall, Nani's Dasara is a heartfelt attempt from the makers, but falters due to poor narration. Can be watched for the authentic dialect, and raw and gritty performances from the lead.
  5. Ottplay

    Film review ·

On the whole, Dasara lives up to the hype created only to an extent. Nani's new avatar will surely wow the fans but the needed drama in the latter part is missing. If you ignore the slow pace and predictable storyline, Dasara has some gritty visuals and great performances that make the film worth a watch.
  6. Times Of India

    Film review ·

Debutant Srikanth Odela's Dasara is a mixed bag and there's no two ways about it. On one hand, the film is visually gripping, the characters seem like they've more to offer and the atmosphere feels like everything is about to come undone at any second. On the other hand, Srikanth sets up themes he never fully explores, or worse, wraps them up with hasty conclusions.
  7. Film Companion

    Film review ·

Srikanth Odela knows his world inside and out, but having chosen a love triangle, he falters in doing justice to all ends of the triangle. Luckily for him, Nani and Santhosh Narayanan bridge most of those gaps making Dasara an exciting film to watch, discuss, and dissect.
  8. Hindustan Times

    Film review ·

Dasara pretty much uses every trick that's been used before when it comes to such stories. However, it still manages to leave a strong impact because of how it succeeds in sucking you into a world you haven't experienced before. Nani turns in such a believable performance and he sells his quest for revenge so convincingly.
  9. The Hindu

    Film review ·

Dasara, written and directed by first-timer Srikanth Odela, ventures into a space that mainstream Telugu films do not often dare to. It tries to be a 'massy' Telugu film that explores the ugly caste politics in a semi-fictional story set in the coal-laden hamlet Veerlapally, Telangana, with earnestness, and achieves this balance reasonably well. Dasara is not perfect. A few tropes could have been smarter. But this is a film with a lot of heart and succeeds in hitting the sweet spot between a gritty drama and a 'massy' mainstream film.
