Men in Black: International Reviews and Ratings
-
Chris Hemsworth looks as if he has wandered in from a super-hero movie in his spare time. It is Tessa Thomson who makes this thing work.
-
Men In Black International lacks drama and punch, both inside and outside the covert bureau operating for the welfare of all living beings including aliens.
-
Even Chris Hemsworth can’t charm his way out of director F Gary Gray’s unfunny, unmemorable and utterly unbearable sequel.
-
Despite all its shortcomings, Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson fans may be able to sit this through, simply because their screen presence is so magnetic and charming. Pity they’re working with such a bland script, ending in a film that seems to cater to new audiences, rather than those who grew up watching the edgier MIB movies before it.
-
In the end, International is a mildly fun ride with satisfying special effects and an adequate number of chuckles.
