Narivetta

Director Anuraj Manohar was inspired by this true story and wrote Narivetta (Leopard Hunt), which depicts the power play between police and politics. Tovino Thomas superbly helms this action drama.

Tovino Thomas is solid as Constable Varghese Peter, but in scenes set in his hometown, both his performance and dialogue delivery often come across as artificial. Narivetta falls into the familiar trap of becoming yet another commercial film, revolving around a non-tribal hero and his life, with tribal characters remaining nameless and reduced to the backdrop.
