Ajay Devgn’s Action-Packed Film Is Entertaining But Predictable

'Singham Again' is a power packed film which you can definitely watch once. The story of the film will entertain you, some scenes are definitely irritating, like Ajay Devgn shooting with his fingers, but overall this film is worth watching and deserves 3 stars.

In a nutshell, Singham Again is explosive and entertaining even if the tale continues to be predictable. The film scores high in terms of the scale, the drama and the impact!

Singham Again feels like a first-person shooter game from the start, an endless stream of action sequences that make one feel as if they have been playing an RPG shooter with friends for two hours straight. Otherwise, watch Singham Again for its massive star presence and non-stop action. It's strictly for action buffs and Rohit Shetty fans.

Singham Again is action heavy, so its appeal is limited to fans of the genre, unlike his other films that had the buoyancy and sense of fun that worked even with children. Arjun Kapoor does not look menacing, no matter how much is written for him.

This is what happens with the Ajay Devgn starrer - a confused and rather bland taste despite having perfect ingredients. The movie is all chaos and no play, with a chaotic and half-baked screenplay and execution that makes the action set-pieces monotonous, devoid of logic, and utterly underwhelming.

Singham Again is an entertainer that leaves logic at the door, and star power can't rescue what amounts to Bollywood's latest misfire.

Rohit Shetty's direction is excellent. He has made a wholesome entertainer for all kinds of audience and for every age group. On the whole, Singham Again is a super-hit and will do extraordinary business.

The second half of Singham Again races along with energy, while the first half feels like a slow grind. Watch it for the second half. And Ranveer Singh.

The action set pieces are the raison d'etre of this film, and they are fabulously done, even if a couple of them are somewhat derivative. Rohit Shetty's films were not supposed to strain so much to entertain. If it were not for Ranveer Singh, Singham Again would be borderline boring.

The laziness and opportunism of the last few years have all but vaporized that distinction. By that metric too it disappoints. The Cop Universe is nearing a heat death.
