Right through, the effort at keeping Akshay's character front and centre skews the balance, with the plot bending over backwards to accommodate Ahuja's untiring efforts, while the brave pilot T Vijaya, who should rightfully have led this tale, consistently plays second fiddle."

"Sky Force is an honest attempt to pay a befitting tribute to the Indian Air Force, but this one tends to fall flat because of a preachy undertone and the 'Deshbhakti' theme which combines with a tint of jingoism in some places. Sky Force's biggest drawback lies in its writing and screenplay, which relies too much on preachy and jingoistic dialogues and moments."
