Film review
Mission Majnu is a sedate, by-the-numbers drone that avoids jingoism, though the film's message about patriotism residing in the soul feels like a soothing counterpoint to current polarized times.

Film review ·
Mission Majnu does not deliver a thrill a minute nor does it produce any exceptional degree of tension and suspense. An espionage drama that takes its own sweet time to warm up, it struggles to hold our attention with more talk than action for the most part, and neither the espionage nor love story strands are able to keep flaccidity at bay.
Film review
MISSION MAJNU is a gripping saga with a tight script, intelligent scenes, taut execution, and a memorable performance.
Film review ·
The film has its heart in the right place, and Sidharth and Rashmika's mission to entertain is a success, though it doesn't quite reach the heights of Shershaah.
Film review ·
Mission Majnu comes across as a fluff patriotic film that doesn't dive deep into either of its stories, thus failing to ignite a sense of patriotism such movies tend to spark. The convenient writing steals the film away from its thrill, and Mission Majnu robs you of the thrills of a spy film.
Film review
Mission Majnu is gripping in parts, but it's too convenient, which takes away from the narrative. While great, the action stretches in places and makes the movie seem formulaic. All in all, you will enjoy it if viewed without getting into the nuances.
Film review
The film is full of 'yet anothers' & it'll remain to be yet another film trying to sell patriotism without any emotional connection. Everything is generic AF! From the characters' costumes to the way they speak & the set designs, everything comes from a heavily stereotyped mindset hampering the authenticity of the film.
Film review ·
Mission Majnu fares miserably on that front. Tariq has a soft smile and an ingratiating manner that makes everyone he approaches spill the beans, from a small child to a military chief. Every time Shantanu Bagchi's film – based on a real espionage operation from 1977 – runs out of wind, it resorts to silver-bullet nationalism and sentimentality as an escape route.
Film review
A generic spy thriller that overtly dramatises true events from our prickly relationship with Pakistan, Mission Majnu doesn't add much to our knowledge and understanding of the universe where undercover agents operate. Half as interesting as the title, this mission evokes more yawns than wows.
