Yet the narrative ultimately pits Chiara against a masked stalker, steering the story towards well-worn suspense rather than a sharper interrogation of influencer culture. Its moral concerns consequently feel more asserted than explored.

The film never makes enough of this premise. Instead of making the dangers of being constantly visible online feel frightening, the film relies on predictable scares and situations that have been explored several times in the past. What could have been an unsettling horror story about the dangers of living online becomes another predictable horror film that fails to make much of its promising premise.
