‘Badlapur’ is Raghavan’s classic modern revenge noir triggered by a career redefining breakthrough performances by Varun Dhawan and Nawaz’s class act. A must for the patrons of noir, dark, gritty and quality cinema.

This one is NTR’s splendid ride. He excels in his dialogue delivery and demeanour, though the costumes are not up to the mark. Kajal Agarwal is vivacious but doesn’t get more than a glam-doll role. Prakash Raj is routine, with no memorable dialogues given him by Puri. Posani scores over other character artists; imagine him without those stock expressions and typical body language, instead doing some sentiment.

…completely intoxicated by the magic of the incredible Mr Bachchan and the amazing Dhanush. Though ‘Cheeni Kum’ as compared to Balki’s previous creations, the awesome twosome act of Amitabh and Dhanush keeps the audience mesmerized while fans will go home with heads up and clouds in their hands others will not find much to repent.

Yennai Arindhaal is a mixture of Mass juxtaposed with class and is sure to quench the thirst of Ajith’s fans and GVM’s signature style movie goers. Barring the nostalgic moments from his previous movies and the slow screenplay Yennai Arindhaal is a rock solid entertainer with enough scenes to get you hooked.

As much we enjoy Shankar’s manifestation of opulence there are staggering moments in the movie that could have changed its outlook.
Ergo, I capitalizes too much on Vikram’s energetic performances yet crosses the boundary line in style. -
Well, the movie got loads of positives and it is watchable for sure, but it also makes the viewer think, how long will Prabhu Solomon takes the same route to achieve success? There isn’t a big difference between, Suruli (Mynaa), Bomman (Kumki), and Aaron (Kayal). And, anyone can switch their avatars and the audience will not be disappointed because of the similarities they carry.

‘Lingaa’ is a clean masala with barely anything to snip off in censorship. It has a racy screenplay to justify the story that preaches unity, integrity, honesty, humility, and generosity, all for the goodwill of people. Introduction of the thought that people should not be biassed based on caste, is an intelligent move. However, certain patches do stand out as sore thumb that are in dire need of finesse – like dialogues for everyone other than Rajini, action, choreography, and graphics, especially in climax. In all, the film looks like it is made for Rajinikanth, to make him the hero of all times, but fails to meet expectations as a movie on the whole.

An entertainer with some unpredictable and witty moments.
