• The comedy falls flat, the romance isn’t intriguing enough to make us feel for the boy or the girl plus the backward forward narration muddles the process.

Imran Kangana look fresh. Both the lead have fallen prey to weak writing which is further marred by cliché mentality. It’s a rom com so college is a must. The lack of finesse in twining manipulative sugary emotions with reality as done by other makers is clearly missing.

  • With ‘Thani Oruvan’ Raja has not only changed his name to Mohan Raja but has made a completely new and refreshing thriller which is on par with any international films of its genre. Probably he was dishing out remakes till now as preparation for delivering one of the best films in the past decade.

Verdict – A must watch for any true movie lover.

  • ‘Gour Hari Dastaan’ is powerful, meaningful, inspiring, probing and appealing highly recommended for lovers of good cinema and a true Indian. Do not miss.

  • ‘Brothers’ is a big disappointment. The easy, uninspiring, simple, obvious and boring remake of Hollywood’s ‘Warrior’ struggles to deliver as an action packed emotional family drama even after a terrific Akshay and reformed Sidharth. Still you can watch it if you are an Akshay, Sidharth die hard. Else take your call.

  • Watch ‘Drishyam’ to see the actor Ajay Devgn returning to his intensity best in this emotionally packed powerful, faithful, pulse riser, powered by superlative performance that envelopes a relevant message of morality and upbringing.

  • The film depends predominantly on Singampuli and he does not disappoint in giving his brand of comedy. He also has scope for emotions in the second half and with that he proves he is not just a comedian. Arulnithi as a good minded policeman who seriously tries to restore the peace gives what is required for the character. Remya Nambeesan is refreshing while Bhagavathy Perumal and Rajkumar could have been used better to bring in more fun and laughter.

  • On a whole Maari is a regular masala movie, the ones which hardcore Dhanush fans would love to watch. What’s more pricking is that, Dhanush after establishing name across Pan India as a man who could pull of a blinder with Raanjhaana, 3, Shamitabh is back in a role which has little scope for experimentation, something which he always embraced with. For a man of his caliber, the expectation from an ordinary fan is always sky high and Maari falls short of that.

  • Bajrangi Bhaijaan is a charmingly patriotic, entertainingly cool and emotionally heartfelt fable on love, bhaichara and neighbourhood. Having Salman Khan giving his emotional best in recent times. Very strongly recommended.

  • Without any iota of doubt. Rajamouli’s Baahubali is Indian cinema’s proud. It is almost impossible for a lover of mainstream cinema not to be in awe by this stunningly grandiose mix of action, emotion, drama and magic. Do not miss. Catch this grand spectacle playing at your nearest screen and watch how Rajamouli raises the bar of our cinema scene by scene.

  • Tamil answer to the legendary Malayalam blockbuster Drishyam by its mentor Jeethu Joseph is an emotionally uplifting pulse riser that has a prize boxer in Kamal Haasan delivering a knockout punch that explodes with family values, togetherness, morality, upbringing and much more.
