The only performance of note is that of Aly Khan who brings in that intensity to his character that makes it very real. Cool, calm and calculated.

The immature way in which Hema Malini deals with this complex subject is what is absolutely shocking. It’s a joke. And a terrible one at that. Also, there is no flow to the story and every attempt to find her real father turns into something of a farce

TERE MERE PHERE is a merry-go-round, which leaves you a bit wobbly in the head.

Though the film is not long, a 20-minute cut would have made a world of difference. It’s not a deadly comedy, but at least Bellary focuses on his prime motive – to make you laugh.

U R MY JAAN is an amateurish attempt at a complex love story. Somewhere the makers try to get into the PRETTY WOMAN mold without actually having characters that define their motives.

Like an overcooked dish, MAUSAM, towards the end leaves a soggy taste in your mouth. Sad. Because as a director, Pankaj Kapoor has shown his class. It’s just that he was playing with too many ideas in one go. Give him time and he will be one of our best.

SORRY BHAI (pun intended), this is just not working.

I mean, going to USA and starting a scam by teenagers who have just made two trips to Bangkok is unbelievable. These guys are not going to Bhuleshawar! And since when has it has been easy to ‘finger’ the Americans in their own backyard with no fear of the law. These and more such silly gags is what BADMAASH COMPANY is all about.

KURBAAN is NEW YORK. But with a different set of actors. KURBAAN is also SHOOT ON SIGHT, again with different actors. The plot remains the same, the twists and turns fails to surprise you and the end is inevitable. However, here, the love story has been hyped, thanks to Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor having an off-screen romance as well.
