…this is good popcorn time-pass for SRK fans.

Overall, this movie is like a biryani prepared by 11 cooks. You can imagine the taste if one cook has forgotten to inform the other whether he has added salt!
-
…a Diwali cracker that goes phus. It’s an archaic story told in an archaic manner. Sooraj Barjatya takes 174 minutes to tell you this tale that has no meat, no soul, nor a proper push forward. By the time it gets over, you have gathered enough aches as you keep adjusting yourself in the seat.

A decent watch, but movies with a theme like this has passed their shelf life. In the 90s these types of films were a staple Bollywood diet; today tastes have changed.
-
…had the potential of being a classic, but ends up way below average.

Main Aur Charles is a big yawn!
-
This is neither Shaandaar nor zabardast. It’s just fluff!

TALVAR is not breakthrough cinema. Neither is it exciting or informative. In fact, it leaves a bad taste in the mouth as most in India have seen ad nauseam on national television the ‘live’ findings of the double murder on a daily basis when the murder rocked the nation in 2008. Same is happening now in the Sheena Bora murder case.
I feel the industry could have spared Aarushi and her parents this embarrassment.

…though the film hangs on a flimsy plot the duo manage to extract huge Laugh Out Loud moments from the goings-on on screen.

There is in fact no story, nor any story-telling craft. However, if you have braved the first half, and are willing to sit through the next, and love some adrenalin rush, sans any connection with the story, the movie gets better.
