• CHITTAGONG is a film that should reach all schools, colleges and corporate houses. It gives you an insight of how the freedom we now enjoy was fought for bravely by youngsters, who put country over self.

  • If you are ready and willing for a KLPD, do walk right in!

  • Go watch it. It’s a lesson worth its weight in gold.

  • In the end, the message that is preached is the simple truth I spoke of in the beginning. That of loving. God is within all of us. We all have to look within, instead of running here and there in search of God. Someone has rightly said, stones enter the temple and become gods, we enter the temple and still remain stones!

  • The storyline is an absolute mystery, even after two-and-a-half hours of trying to fathom things out. In between, the director throws in some heavy emotions, which is like wearing rubber slippers along with a suit.

  • For most part after that it is the sharp-shooter (Sharat Saxena) and the photographer (Kavin Dave) who Bumboo you. If that is not enough there’s a psychiatrist thrown in along with the photographer’s wife (Mandy Takhar). To be fair, it is only Mandy who though made to act without a script impresses with her bit.

If you are willing to get Bumbooed, do walk right in!

  • What is also missing is a soul in the film.

  • BARFI! is a one-man show – Ranbir Kapoor.Barfi and Jhilmil together is just not logic. It is tragic. Take away the character of Jhilmil and Basu would have been on a roll. There are a few poignant moments in the film and this is thanks to the three ‘bechara characters’ who tug at your heart. Visually, the film is appealing. It has a different treatment and a hatke cinematic appeal. The three star rating is not for the brilliance of the film; it’s for the genius of Ranbir Kapoor. A performance worth a watch!

  • The sore point here is that Chakraborty overshoots the climax by 20 minutes. Once the hero gets his break, Chakraborty goes into another sub-plot that brings all his hard work of building up the plot crashing down. It’s like a guest who becomes a pest when he has overstayed his welcome.

  • The one star rating is for the attempt to make it in 3D. Otherwise, the movie has absolutely nothing to offer. The presentation is a horror in itself.
