• Whatever little dose of action is present is rendered in cheap looking CGI, which hammers the final nail in the coffin. It remains to be seen if a third instalment arrives next year because as a second film in a series, ‘Insurgent’ is a dud.

  • Most of the film is crowd pleasing to the core, and when the talent on display is so effortless in entertaining you, it’s hard to walk away from the film with any negative emotion. It’s the first feel-good movie of the year, and that’s always a good thing.

  • It is simple pleasures and fun visuals that kids want, and this film delivers by the truckloads. – See more at: http://www.mid-day.com/articles/cinderella—movie-review/16079160#sthash.IfO68jI1.dpuf

  • Sure, it’s old-fashioned, but this film is as pretty as a fairy tale…The film also does little to hide the regressive backbone of the story, where a girl is rescued from her problems in life only because a handsome prince shows up and whisks her away. After Frozen, one would think Disney had the insight to impart strong and battle like values to young girls, and told them that finding prince charming is not the only target in life. Alas, no such subversion is to be found here.

  • A funny sex comedy with a terribly botched up ending…The biggest takeaway from Hunterrr is that Deviah is far greater than this film, and he certainly deserves better stories. As do we.

  • There is a barrage of twists to surprise you, but even those are so lame you wish you had been in the film and successfully fooled everyone in it. Smith, who is generally so likable, does little to salvage the scrappy material, as if still reeling from the aftershock of ‘After Earth’.

  • ‘Chappie’ asks some pretty solid questions, while delivering the action spectacle as well. If you enjoy action-packed, crazy cinema with a dash of brains, you can do a lot worse than ‘Chappie’.

  • …for all of NH10’s accomplishments, there are a few questionable lapses in logic, like when the couple uses a map chart instead of Google Maps on their expensive iPhones, and still lose their way. At times, the film overdoes it and keeps telling you ‘North India is full of horrible people’, because everyone in the film is seemingly out to kill the couple. Yes, some of the patriarchal rubbish in this country needs to be addressed, but does every man in the film need to be antagonistic to convey the point?

  • When there isn’t anything else in the way of the plot, the only thing we can bank on is the characters, and the filmmaker makes them fairly interesting, and more importantly, makes us root for them.

  • It all leads up to a predictable ending full of groan-worthy loud and noisy events, and by the time it’s over all you can do is head over to the nearest sushi restaurant to forget whatever you just saw.
