The original films aren’t very good on a filmmaking level, but whatever was on screen had never been done before then. Everything about this film reeks of “been there done that”. If Bay’s master plan is to nurture today’s teens on this sort of mediocre codswallop, we need to hijack satellite channels and telecast the video of Vanilla Ice’s ‘Ninja Rap’ on every screen and save this generation of kids.

Raja Natwarlal fails because its basic premise is a mess. It presents the challenge of conning a man who is supposed to be one of the world’s smartest men, except he behaves like one of the dumbest creatures to have walked this planet. Make that the second dumbest; the number one position is occupied by the audience that fell for Raja Natwarlal and bought tickets.

Singham Returns is either a solid injection of boredom or a pain as severe as getting your pecker stuck in the zip and screaming Ata maajhi atakli. Choose wisely.

All of this hard work in writing would have been futile had the film been tackily shot, just like the films it parodies. Surprisingly, Entertainment is technically great, even the scene transitions are well done.

Just like in the first movie, Schmidt and Jenko have one simple mission: go undercover in order to infiltrate the drug dealers and find the suppliers. With the issue of a ‘plot’ quickly out of the way, 22 Jump Street storms head-on into becoming the most bromantic movie we’ve seen.

You can’t take away the fact that the story is a novel spin on a familiar setting and you won’t see the end coming. It’s certainly better than the likes of Vikram Bhatt’s hilarious garbage, but it’s a lesser film than its original counterpart. Pop in the DVD of the 2012 movie before you head to see this version.

Don’t take it too seriously, and you’ll dig Bobby Jasoosand forget about it. But if you’re looking for a memorable film with a repeat value, you’ll be disappointed.

Shockingly, it’s not so bad. Suri takes the core of I Saw The Devil and turns it into a melodramatic, manipulative, pyaar-mohabbat-dardi-humdardi drama.

The film’s most touching moment comes when a mother reveals that her husband wanted to dispose of their girl child, and the child went on to achieve massive success. It’s when you realise that The World Before Her is one of the most important, skillfully made and powerfully provocative films to come in a long time.
