• Based on the end scenes of what happens to the watch, Vikram kumar is clearly keeping the doors open for spinning the yarn for the second part of 24. The director deserves a pat for drafting a ‘Nolanesque’ script while keeping the narrative simple and logical within the confines of this concept. This brilliant contraption of a film is a must watch for its deft making and exceptional performances of Suriya.

  • A neat remake of an engaging court drama, Manithan is a job well done from its makers.

  • Sometimes a meal is so hot that you tend to gulp it down even if it is not exactly delicious. This is what saves Kanithan. It is so fast most of the times that some glaring loopholes and deja vu feel does not hurt the film as it would have had it slowed down anytime.

  • A masala cop flick where the masala is kept at an optimum level. And the best part is that it hardly reminds you of any other film that had its hero don the khakee.

  • A zombie flick that is right on the money and true to its genre. Well done team Miruthan!!!

  • A pleasing remake that manages to recreate the essence of the original. A good ride if you haven’t watched the original and a decent revisit if otherwise.

  • Rajini Murugan is a product from a team which precisely knows its strengths. The biggest strength is that the team knows its limitations and never goes fishing into bigger or untested waters. The result is an outing of harmless fun.

  • An intriguing love story for adults but with it’s fair share of contrivances to make it all end well. So back to the question in the first paragraph. Guess this would also be a love or hate film for the audience.

  • Eeti could have been a little more sharper but it definitely is well on target. It gives the fillip to Atharvaa as an action hero. If that was the intention Eeti is a winner.

  • 144 shows that it’s maker has a flair for comedy of the eccentric type. Some fine tuning and Manikandan can make heads turn.
