Toy Story 5

Toy Story 5

2026 · KoiMoi

Toy Story 5 is a must-watch for fans of the series or anyone who wants just a fun animated movie. The film is hilarious, and the new angle on theme and plot feels fresh enough to be worth the trip to the cinema. Toy Story 5 cleans the stage after the fourth installment mess and makes the franchise seem relevant again.

Disclosure Day

Disclosure Day

2026 · KoiMoi

Disclosure Day keeps Spielberg working at the level he has done for the second half of his career, where he makes entertaining movies that just lack a sense of true wonder and focus on themes and ideas that, while interesting, become too cliché to create any sort of interest beyond the introduction of those ideas in the first place. Sadly, Disclosure Day doesn't break the streak of Spielberg doing films with tons of potential that don't really hit the nail in the end.

Masters of the Universe

Masters of the Universe

2026 · KoiMoi

Masters of the Universe is a fun but shallow blockbuster that does too much in the wrong direction and forgets that the characters are the main engine of any story. The visual effects are inconsistent, and the movie is just too long for what it tries to do.

Mercy

Mercy

2026 · KoiMoi

This film is pretty much a failure on all levels, especially as there are a couple of moments where you can see the potential, but it is squandered. The writing feels off; it never manages to feel serious enough to match the film's tone, and this hurts the rest of the picture on all levels.

Greenland 2: Migration

Greenland 2: Migration

2026 · KoiMoi

Gerard Butler's charisma is unmatched and carries the entire thing, but the film's script is full of holes and conveniences that significantly hurt the narrative, making the film feel like it lacks stakes. This is a cash grab sequel made only for business purposes that many will watch, but few will remember.

28 Years Later: The Bone Temple

28 Years Later: The Bone Temple

2026 · KoiMoi

28 Years Later: The Bone Temple serves as a fantastic sequel to last year's film and basically improves on that film in every single possible way, delivering one of the best zombie films of the last decades and elevating the horror genre to a new level.

Shelter

Shelter

2026 · KoiMoi

Shelter is an enjoyable action thriller that offers us a bit of what the Jason Statham brand has been made famous for, but sadly, it lacks passion, and big moments to make the film standout. While entertaining, it is still a low point in his filmography.

Scream 7

Scream 7

2026 · KoiMoi

Scream 7 is just okay; it might serve as a good film to watch down the line on digital, but this is not the "once and for all" film that the tagline is trying to sell, as the writing and the direction are not up to par with that level of ambition, and as such, while the film entertains, it also lacks the punch of being just plain fun to watch.

Project Hail Mary

Project Hail Mary

2026 · KoiMoi

Project Hail Mary is a fantastic blockbuster; it is fun, insightful, and heartwarming, and it has just good vibes all around. Ryan Gosling is just amazing in the role, and his comedic timing might be the film's greatest asset.

Michael

Michael

2026 · KoiMoi

Michael is not a bad film; it is just a very superficial one, which leaves a bad taste in your mouth. The script gives the film one central conflict, that of Michael with his father, Joseph, and it all ends up in the classic abusive father kind of thing we have seen before a million times... but it is not compelling enough. Michael is an okay movie; it isn't bad, but it isn't good either.

The Devil Wears Prada 2

The Devil Wears Prada 2

2026 · KoiMoi

The Devil Wears Prada 2 manages to avoid the bad sequel curse and delivers a good old fun movie with good vibes, understands the characters in it, and is willing to put them in uncomfortable situations to show that success doesn't come for free. The characters and the production values are excellent, with the movie definitely wanting to cause awe with its depiction of fashion.

Mortal Kombat II

Mortal Kombat II

2026 · KoiMoi

Mortal Kombat II has a lot of flaws, but it remains fun throughout, especially if you are a fan of the video game franchise. The script might be the worst thing about the film; it feels full of holes, lacks connective tissue between scenes and ideas, and also starts to set up a sequel a bit too early. This is a perfect example of wasted potential, as the Mortal Kombat franchise could have really been an amazing story for the silver screen.
