• Baaghi 2 surprises you. It’s not a well-structured film, and the story has many loopholes; the performances are over-the-top and the plot points convenient.

  • Dil Junglee, a bit like Jab Harry Met Sejal, reminds one of how the huge potential of two talented actors was completely wasted because the filmmakers decided to stick to the same old formulaic and cheesy way of making a typical Bollywood ‘love’ story.

  • …with the added layers of annoyance, Guest in London is in line to win the award for the worst film of the year.

  • Begum Jaan is strong, inspiring, shocking, and more than anything — heart-wrenching. Don’t forget to take your handkerchief (or tissues!) along.

  • Banjo does have a few catchy songs to which you can groove, but some parts of the plot are cliched and the others are too random. Don’t be surprised if you switch your brain cells off in the first 30 minutes.

  • The courtroom scenes have remarkable instances of with that have been woven into the dialogues.
Pink, directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and produced by Shoojit Sircar, has three superstars: The script, the girls and of course, Amitabh Bachchan.

  • One knows to expect a certain kind of humour from the Masti films, but this one takes the jokes even lower than its previous iterations: The gags are tasteless, homosexuals are liberally made fun of, and gratuitous shots of the female bosom are stuffed throughout the run-time. Watching straight porn might make for a better experience than this.
