Rohit Bhatnagar's Film Reviews

When a film doesn’t have a plot or even fair performances, no one can save it from sinking. LKSMLD is like any other love triangle story and seems more like a holiday trip for the film’s team. The only good thing about the film is its cinematography. If you think this is how a love story is supposed to be, trust me, you wouldn’t want to have one. We advise you to miss LKSMLD this weekend or go and watch Mukti Bhawan for a spiritual trip!

The film could have been better paced, all thanks to the under-cooked narrative. Naam Shabana is a throw away effort from director Shivam Nair and producer Neeraj Pandey, where the only saving grace is Taapsee’s act.

Phillauri is a perfect watch this weekend which makes you laugh and cry, also redefining romance on celluloid. The film has a great blend of emotions and believability at the right place, though the pace of the film is slightly slow in the first half which might bore the audience.

Trapped breaks the barrier for winning hearts with its content. It is so difficult for the reviewer to find a flaw. Overall, Trapped is a brilliant film with a crisp narrative that will keep you glued till the last frame.
-
Badrinath Ki Dulhania is a one time watch which has humour, social message, good looking actors and high degrees of emotions.
-
Rangoon is definitely not avoidable but it is certainly not a Vishal Bhardwaj masterpiece.
-
‘Running Shaadi’ can be seen over this weekend as the film will be a perfect outing with your entire family.

The Ghazi Attack is an interesting choice for this weekend unless you aren’t willing to watch a patriotic film which the makers haven’t projected it as at all. But don’t expect the chills you get after seeing films like Border, Chak De India, Rang De Basanti or Dangal. Watch it for its performances and technicalities.

‘Jolly LLB 2’ should definitely be on your to-do list for the weekend. The film might not satisfy you as much as the first one might have, but you surely won’t come out disappointed out of the theatres.

The highpoint of ‘Kaabil’ is that, the plot of the film is very okay but the screenplay is intelligently played out. The film won’t bore you even for a second. ‘Kaabil’ is overwhelming, magical and a feel good film. The film is one of the most interesting revenge sagas made in the recent times.
