Dum Laga Ke Haisha is a straight from the heart film which is easy to connect to. The characters are beautifully crafted and the love story is heart-melting. No over the top dances, shoddy music and bad climaxes, this is YRF’s best films to have come recently.

Badlapur is a brilliant direction from Sriram Raghavan whose film opens like novel and is full of twists. According to me, the film’s best element is Varun Dhawan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui who own this film right from start.

Roy is a twisted love story that has a thriller coating. It is a non-purpose film which gives nothing but just tells a story that is multi-layered to create intrigue. It is a confused plot which is enthused with style. In the film there is a dialogue which says “Ye film kaise ban gayi” and I quite agreed with that!

Shamitabh may not appeal to the masses for its unique storyline and is more so for the niche audiences. The brilliant performances by Dhanush and Amitabh Bachchan and an emotional climax make up for this faulty plot that drags post interval. For its novel ideas and stellar showcasing of acting talents.

Rahasya is not the perfect murder mystery. It has its drag moments and so if you have grown-up watching CID, you may like a better version of it. Not an exceptional story or execution…

Khamoshiyan has nothing extraordinary to it. It is a horror erotica and if you are a fan of this genre, I am sure this is one of the better films amongst those that have hit the screens recently. Suspense, mystery and also the haunting experience being average, I am going with a 2/5 for this film.
