It’s breezy, but mediocre that fails to use the potential of the premise though inspired into a beguiling rom com. Yes we can say it’s better than BEFIKRE, Ayushmann Khurrana and Parineeti Chopra are delightfully charming in this long prolonged affair and if that motivates you to go for it go or else wait for the official DVD.

As and when Amitabh Bachchan comes on screen it reminds of the 2005 Subash Nagre, this deja vu is good for RGV as it still manages to give a glimmer of hope that all is not lost for RGV till yet. His comments on social media may not be taken seriously but still those who have grown up watching his cinema since SHIVA in 1989 know about his capabilities and are still waiting. The sentiments mentioned however are bad for SARKAR 3 as the movie follows the form of the original SARKAR but to diminishing effect.

BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION is an hauntingly eternal, ambitiously spectacular masterpiece that delivers on all fronts, having all the arcs for a swashbuckling blockbuster, the S.S. Rajamouli directed epic fantasy in reality is a lesson on how to conclude a sequel, making it bigger, better and unforgettable in the end. Was sad that BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION has to finally end but glad that the audience faith in the magic of larger than life cinema that worships Indian mythology and pays tribute to Indian ethos is back and backed by the BAAHUBALI (means strong and powerful) shoulders of makers like S.S. Rajamouli who is now a phenomenon in mainstream cinema. Go experience the power of cinema in all its beauty and Indian grandiosity, watch BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION right now.

MAATR starring Raveena Tandon just pretends to make a social statement about rape and revenge and in reality struggles even to be a routine escapist film that does nothing significant for anyone involved. MAATR (motherhood) is Maatr (just) an addition to the list of Bollywood run of the mill badla saga – See more at: http://www.glamsham.com/movies/reviews/maatr-movie-review.asp#sthash.M2tyXNs0.dpuf

A plot that could have been a powerful eye opening metaphor on ‘mata’ (read women) and ‘bharat mata’ turns into a disturbing, over blown, deliberately hysterical and forcefully sensational misadaptation of the brilliant National award winning Bengali film RAJKAHINI. Shockingly, the creator of RAJKAHINI Srijit Mukherji is the destroyer of BEGUM JAAN which sees the fiery and determined Vidya Balan fighting a lost battle in this flimsy piece of cinema.

POORNA is a story that needs to be told. The movie upholds the power of will, determination and confidence that can make you scale the highest peak, it’s a small little motivating gem recommended for those who look for some meaning in their life and cinema.

NAAM SHABANA may not have an innovative plot but it’s a definite crowd pleaser. The makers have probably planned this probable money spinner banking on the popularity of their previous brilliant BABY and the movie doesn’t disappoint in entertaining the action thriller hungry souls of Bollywood and also gives a soothing nostalgia to the diehard BABY enthusiast. NAAM SHABANA is a decent bahana (reason) for Bollywood makers to start thinking on the spin off genre and churn some more interesting twist.

After NH10, the promos of PHILLAURI promised some fun but it sadly ends as a pun on itself in trying to do so many things in one film, a comedy that too supernatural one and an old fashioned romance that forces the friendly spirit to hang out from the screen wondering who is suppose to take charge of the proceedings.

Certainly not for the weak hearted, weak stomachs and entertainment hungry souls of Bollywood, TRAPPED is a triumph in Bollywood’s claustrophobic thriller genre that is masterly crafted by Vikramaditya Motwane and brilliantly acted by Rajkummar Rao. If you want to get rid from the ‘trap’ of the routine Bollywood thrills and have the appetite to try something different and new then get ‘TRAPPED’ at your nearest screens.
