    A scare-lite sequel to the haunted house horror flick Insidious (2011), the franchise motivated …Chapter 2 fails to translate its paranormal premise into an interesting yarn.

  • Insidious Chapter 2 is definitely not for the faint-hearted but if you’re a seasoned horror fan — by which I mean, if you have peed your pants after watching Poltergeist at age 4 — then you might as well skip this and watch Sansani.

  • With no new tricks to impress us with, Insidious: Chapter 2 isn’t as scary as its previous effort.

    …is a big letdown by director James Wan, who had previously given us Insidious in 2011 and The Conjuring in July. While the earlier films were well-crafted, this one is a far cry from the earlier ones.
