At no point does Julie 2 rise above being a B-grade flick whose mentality is stuck in the 1990s. 

Even though the story is set in current times, the narrative plays out like a 90s masala flick. The dialogues must have been written to induce wolf-whistles but are cringeworthy to say the least. The dance numbers are also reminiscent of the by-gone era.

Even seasoned actors like Rati Agnihotri and Pankaj Tripathi are off their mark with their loud acting in Julie 2. Ravi Kishan is the silver lining; he looks effortless as the South superstar, Ravi Kumar.
Do yourselves a favour, give Julie 2 a miss.

Julie 2 is pure gold in the section of ‘Best Trashy Films’. With a baseless storyline, loud melodrama and unintentional humour – this film is a poor man’s The Dirty Picture. Give it a miss without much thinking.

It  is  a little startling  to see seasoned actors like Pankaj Tripathy, Rati Agnihotri and RaviKissan  pitching in with bombastic  performances. But then, bombast  is  the  need  of the hour. Julie 2  is an oldfashioned high-pitched melodramatic take on an actress’ journey from zero to wow. It has  plenty  of unexpected twists and  turns  in the plot,not all of them convincing  . The narrative neatly  balances  the engaging and  the corny.
