KGF Chapter 2

The trouble with films busy working on their look is that they forget about plotting. KGF 2 swings haphazardly between the past and the present.

The film belongs as much to filmmaker Prashanth Neel as it does to Yash. Both of them have managed to create a brutal tale of raw machismo with a hint at a third chapter.

Director Prashanth Neel's KGF: Chapter 2 starring Yash, Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon is a paisa-vasool action entertainer. With several goosebumps-inducing build-up scenes, the film is a worthy sequel to KGF: Chapter 1.

KGF Chapter 2 has all the pages filled with hype and elevations in bold, but the story only in very few lines in a small font. The director simply repeated the same template here in the second part, except that his best elevations remained in the previous part, and most of the plots and plans by Rocky Bhai in this chapter could be anticipated.

Prashanth Neel's 'ambition' overrides his 'story-telling' and that's the biggest issue of his script. But beneath all the screams and boisterous BGM, one important thing gets suppressed and rarely gets a chance to flourish – intriguing storytelling.

Problems galore but dhishoom-dhishoom on point and dialogues that you'll be repeating for months. One can most certainly call this puerile that's what it effectively is. Yash taking on Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon who are all having a ball of a time here, is worth the ticket price.
